An RV rental typically includes the vehicle or travel trailer and its installed systems, but supplies and services vary. Before booking, ask for a written list of what is included, what is optional, and what you need to bring.
Installed features
Most RVs include designated sleeping areas, seating, a refrigerator, cooking appliances, climate controls, storage, a toilet, and a shower. The size and capability of each feature depend on the RV. Some beds convert from sofas or dinettes, and some appliances require campground power, propane, or generator use.
Kitchen supplies
Cookware, utensils, dishes, coffee makers, and cleaning supplies may be included, offered as an add-on, or not provided. Ask for an inventory rather than assuming the kitchen is stocked like a vacation home.
Linens and personal items
Sheets, blankets, pillows, and towels vary by provider and RV. Even when linens are supplied, travelers usually need toiletries, medications, weather-appropriate clothing, and personal comfort items.
Outdoor equipment
Chairs, tables, rugs, grills, games, and fire supplies may be available as optional packages. Campgrounds have different rules for grills and fires, so confirm both the rental contents and destination policy.
Delivery and setup
Delivery is not automatically included in every nightly rate. When offered, clarify the distance, destination requirements, setup tasks, delivery window, and pickup process. The campground reservation is generally separate from the RV reservation.
Mileage, generator use, and fuel
Motorized rentals may include a mileage allowance with fees for additional miles. Generator time and fuel policies also vary. Travel trailers delivered to a powered campsite may not need a generator, while other trips may depend on one.
Fees and protection
Review cleaning, preparation, delivery, pet, insurance, taxes, deposits, and optional add-ons. Understand the cancellation and damage policies before completing the reservation.
